beauty

when life overwhelms
look for the beauty

the joy in the bright colour
of a newly opened flower

the breeze playing
with the leaves of a tall tree

the clouds floating
in a bright blue sky

the bird soaring,
diving into life

easy

finding what to create
is as easy as
doing nothing

watching thoughts zip by
until your mind lets go
and allows your soul to
whisper

When you are thinking about things
That make you feel sad and lost
Get out of your head, love

When you think you’re not worthy
Or too stupid or weird to do what you love
Get out of your head, love

When you think that one single event
Changed your life for the absolute worst
Get out of your head, love

Get out of your head, love
See the sun shining down on you
Breathe in the fresh air

Get out of your head, love
Look at your life as it is
Find gratitude in the simplest things

Get out of your head, love
Look at your world with your heart
And fill it with more beauty

The pen glides over the paper. As I write, stillness settles within me as each word slides onto the soft cream paper, as if the ink is the water charging the beach that is my paper
